Gandalf is a wise and mysterious old man. Faithful to his reputation as a wise man, he is very patient, collected and always thinks things through before acting. He knows what his limits are and will not take unnecessary risks- Unless he deems the risks to be worth it of course. As one of the Istari, he is surrounded with an aura of mystery and gives off a divine impression to the people he meets. Most of those who sees him in Middle-Earth are reminded of the ancient wise men spoken of in legends, or of great kings long gone. Gandalf respects all life and will show respect to anyone he meets. That is, unless he senses them to be an evil force or if they prove to be unworthy of his respect.
