Gandalf the White from the Lord of the Rings, movie verse. A wise and mysterious old man, Gandalf is very patient, collected and always thinks things through before acting. He knows what his limits are and will not take unnecessary risks-- Unless he deems the risks to be worth it of course. As one of the Istari, Gandalf respects all life and will show respect to anyone he meets. That is, unless he senses them to be an evil force or if they prove to be unworthy of his respect.
